When Lily sets out to buy a jar of honey for her grandma, she expects to be home in time for dinner. But trolls, mermaids, a violent storm and an unexpected encounter with dragons turn a simple errand into an extraordinary adventure.

With Smudge beside her, Lily must find her way through a strange and unpredictable world, and make it home before dinner.

The Adventures of Lily & Smudge establishes a world where magic is part of the daily routine. In this debut adventure, Lily and her feline sidekick, Smudge, set off through the woods to visit Grandma.

What starts as a walk becomes a journey through a landscape populated by dragons, mermaids, and grumpy trolls. Inspired by bedtime stories with my daughter, the narrative blends high-fantasy stakes with the cozy familiarity of a family visit. From exploring deep caves to riding unicorns home, this story is a celebration of bold exploration and the comfort of returning safe and sound.
